Urgyen Thinley Karmapa recognised
by the chinese government and the Dalai Lama has been arrested at his home.
New Delhi:Indian police have
raided the monastery of a senior Tibetan monk seen as a possible successor to
the Dalai Lama and have seized several suitcases full of cash, reports said on
Friday.
A man said to be an aide of the Karmapa, one of Tibetan Buddhism's most revered
figures who fled to India in 1999, was arrested during the search on Thursday at
the monastery in the northern hillstation of Dharamshala.
The Express newspaper said the cash - Indian and foreign - was stuffed inside
four large suitcases that were taken away by police, while PTI newsagency said
there were six bags.
The reports put the amount of cash seized at between rupees 4 lakh to 3.5 crore.
The raid was in connection with the arrest of two other people carrying large
quantities of cash in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, the reports said.
AFP was unable to immediately confirm the details. The Karmapa's office did not
respond to enquiries.
Dharamshala is a northern Indian hillstation where the Tibetan community in
exile, including the Dalai Lama, has been based since 1960.
The 27-year-old Karmapa is officially recognised by China and in Tibet as one of
the most senior spiritual leaders and is widely seen as a figure who could lead
the Tibetan movement once the ageing Dalai Lama dies.
New Delhi:Investigators
probing the huge cash haul from a transit home of the 17th Karmapa Ugyen Trinley
Dorje are suspecting that the religious leader is in regular touch with Chinese
authorities to help Beijing control Buddhist monasteries from Ladakh to Tawang.
Evidence emerging during investigation indicated that the currencies of China,
Japan, the US, the UK, Australia, Thailand and several other countries recovered
from Gyuto Monastery in Dharamlsala have come from Chinese sources.
Sources said investigators had found that such funds regularly keep coming to
the Tibetan religious leader and he could be part of a Chinese design to help
Beijing control all Buddhist monasteries located in the Himalayan region
beginning from Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.
A close aide of Karmapa, Rabjaychojan alias Shakti Lama, was arrested and was
being interrogated.
The illegal funds were recovered during a raid at the monasteries on Thursday.
Apart from the huge foreign currencies, a sum of Rs 4 lakh in Indian currency
was also seized from the transit home of the Karmapa.
The raids followed arrest of two persons Asutosh and Sanjay with Rs one crore at
Una in Himachal Pradesh.
The money was reportedly drawn from the Majnoo Ka Tila branch of a private
sector bank in Delhi and the police were interrogating the duo.
Karmapa was reportedly inside the monastery when the raids were conducted but
there was no word from him or any of his aides about the raids and the money
seized.

THOUSANDS OF people cutting across all
sections in Sikkim on Sunday morning gathered at Guards
ground near Gangtok for a massive rally demanding that the
Seventeenth
Gyalwa Karmapa
Orgyen Trinley Dorjee be allowed by the
Central government
to take his seat of power at Rumtek
Dharma Chakra Centre
in the Eastern district.
The rally which was organised by the Karmapa Reception
Committee (KRC) constituted of Joint Action Committee and
representatives of three major Kayupa Sect monasteries viz.
Rumtek in East district, Phodong in North district and
Ralong in South district and moved across Tibet Road,
Hospital point and later culminated into a mass meeting at
Paljor Stadium near Gangtok on September 27.
Followers
from 80 monasteries of Sikkim and followers from Kalimpong
and Darjeeling sub-division also participated in the rally.
They carried placards with various slogans.
The followers of Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorjee demanded that
New Delhi must lift the ban on the young Lama to travel to
Rumtek, and allow him to take his throne at the monastery.
Dorjee has the backing of the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai
Lama who endorses him as the 17th Karmapa of the
Dharma Chakra Centre.
The 17th
Gyalwa Karmapa
Ogyen Trinley Dorje, has been living at Gyuto monastery in
Dharamshala , Himachal Pradesh since his escape to India in
January 5, 2000. The Indian government has placed a ban on
Gyalwa Karmapa
Ogyen Trinley Dorje's travel to Rumtek.
The
Indian government also denied permission twice to Orgyen
Trinley Dorjee to travel to Europe and USA earlier this year.
The nearest place that the Karmapa has been to is Mirik in
Darjeeling region where he had been conducting pujas at the
local monastery on special occasions for the past two years.
After the demise of 16th Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje in
November 5, 1981, the seat of Karmapa has been vacant and
the trust is run by three Rinpoches, Samar Rinpoche, Situ
Rinpoche and Gyaltsab Rinpoche till date.
However,
amongst the three trustees, Gyaltsab Rinpoche passed away in
1992 in a road incident at Sevoke, near Siliguri and due to
the conflict between the Shamar Rinpoche and Situ Rinpoche
over the trust, led to filing litigation in court of law.
Orgyen Trinley Dorje was born in a peripatetic family in
eastern Tibet and was enthroned in the monastery at Tsurphu,
near Lhasa.
K N Topden, the spokesperson of the
KRC said, “We are not concerned with international
politics-the
Gyalwa Karmapa
is a very high religious figure and hence should be free to
fulfill his religious role- our right to worship is being
denied- this is the fundamental issue religious freedom and
India being the largest democracy in the world should
address this matter urgently.”
Despite Chinese protest, the government of India allowed the
Dalai Lama to visit Tawang, Arunchal Pradesh. Similarly, the
government should also allow
Gyalwa Karmapa
to come to Sikkim, he said.
“There is 99 percent unanimity in Ogen Trinley Dorjee’s
recognition as the Karmapa. The legal case by detractors is
not an obstruction to his seat at Runtek and must be allowed
to go to his monastery in Rumtek,” Topden said.
The recognition of the 17th Karmapa is a closed chapter,
sealed and confirmed by the Tibetan religious leader Dalai
Lama and this is not negotiable, he added.
The president of Karmapa Reception Committee K T Bhutia said,
“All the followers of the Karma Kagyu and other Buddhist
traditions including Shamar Rinpoche accepted Orgyen
Thrinley Dorjee as the 17th Karmapa. Although in 1994,
Shamar Rinpoche rechanted and put forward Thai Dorje, who is
also brought out from the Tibet as the 17th Karmapa, he does
not have the recognition from Dalai Lama.
According
to a letter in February 1997, Dalai Lama flatly refused to
accept the proposition that Thai Dorje is also the 17th
Karmapa conclusively closing the matter.”

GANGTOK, September 11: Rimpoche Dawa Sangpo Dorjee,
better known as the Sherpa Karmapa or the third 17th
Gyalwa Karmapa claimant today reiterated that Oygen
Trinley Dorjee is ‘most welcome’ in Sikkim provided that
a ‘test’ is held among all the Karmapa contenders by the
Centre.
“There is a rally being organized by supporters of Oygen
Trinley Dorjee in Sikkim on September 26 to show
majority support before the Centre to allow him to visit
Sikkim and Rumtek monastery. I have no objections to him
coming to Sikkim but I request the Centre that a test
should be held between him and me when he comes here to
find out who is the real 17th Karmapa”, said Rimpoche
Dorjee to media at his Tathangchen residence.
Followers of Oygen Trinley Dorjee, who is widely
accepted by most Buddhists and endorsed by the Dalai
Lama as the 17th Karmapa, are presently mobilizing
supporters to conduct a massive rally in Gangtok on
September 26 in order to highlight their demand for him
to be allowed to visit Sikkim and take his throne at
Rumtek Dharma Chakra Centre.
Commenting on the proposed rally, Rimpoche Dorjee said
show of majority numbers does not count much in
spiritual affairs as in political sector. “The 17th
Karmapa issue is a spiritual affair and the real Karmapa
can be identified only after spiritual and scientific
tests conducted among all the claimants”, he said.
“After the rally, if the Centre decides to allow Oygen
Trinley Dorjee to visit Sikkim then arrangements for
tests should also be made between him and me. Until and
unless the real Karmapa incarnation is identified then
there will never be peace in Sikkim”, said Rimpoche
Dorjee.
Rimpoche Dorjee also expressed his regret that the State
government and religious leaders never bothered to take
his side of story on the Karmapa issue. “There should be
discussions from all sides and why the issue is being
allowed to be only a one sided affair? The government
and religious leaders here should also give respect to
one of their own”, he said.
The 33 year old Rimpoche Dojree is from Mangan, North
Sikkim and belongs to Sherpa community. He has a Norbu
Yangdup Chholing monastery in Diu-Damthang in South
Sikkim.
The monastery management committee general secretary,
Dawa Tempa Sherpa belittled the State government and
religious leaders for never bothering to give respect to
Rimpoche Dorjee. Why they never speak on the Karmapa
claimant from Sikkim?, he asked.
“We don’t have anything to say if Ogyen Trinley Dorjee
is allowed to come to Sikkim. But he must face our
Karmapa in a test”, said Sherpa.
New controversy
of
The Magazine of
the National Geographic of the month of April 2010.
The officially recognized H.H. 17th Karmpa Urgyen
Thinley from the H.H. 14th Dalai Lama and by the Chinese authorities.
First of all why such a High Rank Rimboche should be
recognized by an inferior Rimboche like the Dalai Lama, because Karmapas are
known that they recognize themselves as the true Karmapa at an early age.
Urgyen Thinley was born in Tibet in the year of the buffalo
1985, in a remote village.
He went at the monastery of the capital city of Lhasa in the
Chinese occupied state of former Tibet, at the age of eleven He run away from
the monastery it is known that He have run away by feet only and
with the help of His close followers.
But the question is how is possible a child of 11 years can go through the
Himalayan pass between Tibet and Nepal which are around 6000-8000 Meters full of
ice, snow and dangerous cliffs. Only by feet!!!
It might be a complot between the Chinese government and the
Tibetan leader in exile H.H. Dalai Lama to bring Him safely to India maybe more
possible with an helicopter or also a private jet!!!
Second how is possible that the Chinese authorities did not
recognize immediately his escape at the border or at least the Indian authority.
This information is however unclear till today, without any
comments, the truth should be known to the world not lies.
How come such a high rank monk like His Holiness 17th
Karmapa has learned Chinese.
The question is does He have any relation with the Chinese
government? And is He Chinese or Tibetan?
This should be answered.
It is also written that he is not interested in politics and
has never touched money, internet and facebook.
That’s a big lie because He is involved with the Chinese
government more than anybody can imagine , the only thing that he speaks Chinese
is enough to prove.
Internet is essential to every sentient being in these 21st
century. Only a person that goes to retreat many years in the cave does not
need.
Every Rimboche when he receives his pellegrims receives a
traditional “Khata” ( Scarf made of silk) with inside usually a letter with some
money. Because it is believed in Buddhism if you give some money to Rimboche he
will gate enormous benefit for your Karma.
How come such a High or the Highest Rimboche like His
Holiness like the 17th Karmapa should succeed His Holiness Dalai
Lama, that’s outrageous.
The Tibetans are saying :
"What will happened after the dead of
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, who should take the power of the
Lamaism Monarchy of Tibet?"
Or
"Will it definitely end the hope of a free Tibet?"
So in this case they believe the best thing to do is enthrone His
Holiness Urgyen Thinley 17th Karmapa as the King of Tibet instead of
The Dalai Lama, before His Holiness Dalai Lama dead.
But that’s not possible because A Karmapa should remain
Karmapa and not become Dalai Lama otherwise there will be a big chaos and
confusion in Buddhism and in the world.
It has said that Karmapa is Power and Dalai Lama is like a
Khenpo ( Teacher).
Long time ago His Holiness the 3th Karmpa refused the crown
of Tibet because He predicted that religion should not be mixed with politics
because it would cause only confusion between spirituality and materialism and
power.
Why in the magazine of of the national geographic is not
mentioned and ignored His Holiness the 17th Karmapa Dawa Sangpo
Dorjee????
This proves more than ever the discrimination by the Tibetan
communities towards the non Tibetan.
Buddhism is for all not only for Tibetans.
Like The Prophecies from Guru Padmashambhava :
The Dharma will
shine in the west once Tibet has fallen.
All said
and done, His Holiness is very confident that the time is nearing when the issue
of the controversy of the 17th Karmapa will be resolved once and for
all.
It is His
Holiness’s wish that the issue should be resolved soon so that the elderly
people should die in peace knowing that the issue is finally resolved and that
they have seen the genuine 17th karmapa in this life.
It is His
Holiness’s wish that all the Dharma loving people should come together and raise
their voice in unison to resolve the issue, by making all the contenders for the
Karmapa seat, to come together and sit for tests, of divine powers/ latest
scientific truth enhancers and the traditional tests are required in a
transparent manner in front of the public and the Dharma gurus and the media
people of wide coverage. His Holiness has been asking for this fair play ever
since other contender’s names cropped up; because till 1992, His Holiness was
the only lone voice which had no solid backing.
His
Holiness is ready to be punished if His Holiness failed the test to prove
Himself as the genuine true Karmapa. His Holiness only wants that the genuine
Karmapa one should head the Karma Kagyu sect because there can be
ONLY ONE
Karmapa.
Finally,
His Holiness asks to the Dharma loving
people to recite “ KARMAPA KHENNO”, not keeping in mind any specific
contender but for who ever may the true one.

„The Tibetan Government-in-exile, which supports Orgyen Trinley
Dorje has termed as baseless the claim of Dawa Tsangpo Dorje as the genuine
Karmapa. In a statement, it said being the spiritual head of the Tibetans, it
was the choice of the Dalai Lama that the people would accept“ see text below:
In
the whole Buddhist History since 2500 years the Dalai Lama never choosed the
Karmapa Incarnation and the people he means are a handful Tibetan Refugees
seeking the mercy of some country where they can settle. Worldwide are more than
350 millions Buddhist and all of them does not believe blindly what Dalai Lama
says neither they execute any orders about what they should believe or not. The
Buddhism has never been a religion which forces poeple to believe in. The words
of Dalai Lama clearly falsificates not only the 17th Karmapa who is a higher
spiritual Monk than himself but falsificates also the Buddhism. The pure
Buddhism is in great danger and together with the approval of China they might
destroy completetely the Bhuddist Doctrine. China is famous of destroying
Monasteries and killing nuns and monks allover Tibet. Why they should not do
same in the rest of the world ones they get the power over Buddhism ? They are
not good hearted people towards Buddhists and Buddhism..
If
you want that not happen than:Stop believing in His Holiness the Dalai Lama and in his associates and stop
sponsor them,
But follow the genuine Karmapa His Holiness Dawa Sangpo Dorje whose only concern
is not to give Initiations and travelling around the world but to save the
Buddhism and to keep it pure as genuine as possible, like it was before in Tibet
where the teacher used to teach one selected students and not many followers
like nowadays just for sponsor and wealth. Thats not Buddhism but stealing the
believes of the people. This is what His Holiness Dawa Sangpo Dorjee strongly
believes!!!
His Holiness 17th Karmapa Dawa Sangpo Dorje is planing to go into deep
meditation soon and will be not available for Interview until the political
turmoil changes and there will be better situation for the true Buddhist
practitioner, that Day His Holiness will proclaim Himself as the Leader of
Buddhism and the King of Tibet onces again, like it happen many centuries ago.
